Williams did not miss any time after the Buffalo Bills high-priced defensive end had what the team called "a procedure" to relieve discomfort in his injured left wrist.||||||| Coach Chan Gailey provided the update Wednesday, saying he expects Williams to return to practice next week once the Bills return from their bye weekend off. Gailey, was otherwise, very short on specifics in sharing any other details regarding the status of the NFL's highest-paid defensive player. Williams signed a six-year, $100 million contract with Buffalo in March.

The NFL has fined the Washington Redskins and Buffalo Bills $20,000 each for violating league procedures on reporting injuries.||||||| The Bills failed to list Williams on the injury report while he was being treated for a sprained left wrist. Williams said Oct. 3 that the wrist had been bothering him and limiting his effectiveness. The league said he should have been on the injury report - he has been the last two weeks.

The NFL is investigating whether Buffalo defensive end Mario Williams has an injured left wrist. Williams has not been on the Bills' injury report this season despite what he claims has been a wrist injury that has bothered him all season. But the team says he has not missed any practices or game time.||||||| NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Sunday that "the club says he is not injured. We will follow up this week to obtain a formal explanation."

Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams has a new home and at least 53 new fans. By closing on a $2 million deal to purchase a mansion in suburban Buffalo, the Bills' high-priced free-agent addition helped a group of creditors recoup about $500,000 they were cheated out of by the home's former owner, William F. Savino says.||||||| Savino is a Buffalo-based attorney representing 53 people swindled out of more than $3 million by Kenneth Bernas, a former lawyer who was convicted in 2010 of larceny and identity theft. Bernas is serving a 2 1/3- to seven-year jail sentence and used some of the money he stole to build the 9,000-plus square-foot mansion in 2005. The Buffalo News first reported Williams' purchase this week.
