Benard was waived by the Browns after dislocating his elow Friday night.||||||| Benard could return to the club if he's not claimed by another team. Last October, not long after leaving practice, Benard crashed his three-wheel motorcycle into a guardrail and was thrown an estimated 80 yards. Benard sustained a broken hand and other serious injuries that required a three-day hospital stay.

Benard has pleaded not guilty to two traffic charges stemming from his motorcycle accident last week. Benard did not appear in Parma Municipal Court on Tuesday. His attorney faxed in the pleas.||||||| Benard, who is done for the season after breaking his hand and sustaining other unspecified injuries, was charged with reckless operation and driving with a suspended license. No new court date has been scheduled. Benard spent three nights in the Cleveland Clinic following the crash. Police estimated Benard was thrown 241 feet after smashing his Can-Am Spyder into a guardrail on Interestate-71.

A person familiar with the decision says the Cleveland Browns will pay injured linebacker Marcus Benard the remainder of his salary for 2011 following his motorcycle accident.||||||| The team was not obligated to continue paying Benard because he sustained a nonfootball-related injury. However, the Browns will pay Benard roughly $370,000 he's still due this season. Benard broke his hand and suffered other undisclosed injuries when he crashed his three-wheel motorcycle into a guardrail on Monday after practice.

Benard has been lost for the season with a broken hand sustained when he crashed his three-wheel motorcycle.||||||| The Browns placed Benard, their leader in sacks last season, on the reserve non-football injury list Wednesday, ending his season after just four games. Benard remains hospitalized in the Cleveland Clinic two days after his accident, which happened shortly after the Browns completed their first workout following a bye week. Brooklyn Police estimated Benard was thrown nearly 80 yards after smashing his Can-Am Spyder motorcycle into a guardrail.

Benard is facing two charges after crashing his motorcycle following practice. Brooklyn Police Sgt. Scott Mielke said Benard has been charged with driving under suspension and reckless operation. He is due in court Oct. 18 in Parma.||||||| Benard broke his hand Monday when he slammed his three-wheel motorcycle into a guardrail on Interstate 71. He remains hospitalized at the Cleveland Clinic. Mielke said Benard lost control, smashed into the guardrail and "flew" over it. Mielke said no other vehicles were involved and police were trying to determine how fast Benard was driving. Benard led the Browns in sacks last season and has played in all four of Cleveland's games this season.
