Dareus' younger brother, Simeon Gilmore, was one of three people shot and killed during a burglary in Pelham, Ala., on Sunday. Authorities said 20-year-old Jon Staggs Jr. has been charged with capital murder and burglary.
A person familiar with defensive lineman Marcell Dareus' ankle injury has told The Associated Press that the Buffalo Bills are awaiting tests to determine its severity after the rookie first-round draft pick was hurt in practice.|||||||
The injury occurred in practice Wednesday, during a portion that is closed to reporters. Dareus was briefly spotted walking on crutches in the locker room after practice. He was drafted third overall out of Alabama in April, and is being counted on to make an immediate impact in improving what was a porous defense last year.
