The Vikings announced the moves Thursday. Williams spent three seasons in Minnesota, but was largely a disappointment after signing a big-money deal to come over from Cincinnati in 2008. Williams had 75 total tackles and one interception last season. He was due to make $5.4 million this season. The Vikings are up against the salary cap and needed to cut Williams to save money.
