Pope returned to practice on Friday and might be able to play against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.|||||||
Pope and fellow tight end Ben Patrick were listed as questionable for the 49ers. Pope has missed the last two games with an ankle injury, but coach Ken Whisenhunt was encouraged after Friday's workout. "He looked good," coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "He actually did everything today, which is surprising."
Pope was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday.|||||||
Pope dislocated his right ankle in Sunday's 41-21 loss at Seattle. A third-round draft pick out of Georgia in 2006, Pope caught 23 passes for 238 yards and five touchdowns this season.
