The Detroit Lions are without leading tackler Justin Durant for their game at Dallas.||||||| Durant was inactive Sunday because of a concussion. Bobby Carpenter, a former first-round pick by the Cowboys, replaced Durant in the starting lineup at outside linebacker.

Teams can talk to veteran free agents, but can't sign them until Friday.||||||| Durant, a linebacker who played four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, confirmed Thursday that he will sign a two-year contract with the Lions. The 6-foot-1, 240-pound Durant started nine games last season for the Jaguars while battling injuries.
