The New Orleans Saints have announced signed Drescher to a four-year contract. The team made the announcement Wednesday but did not release financial terms of the deal.||||||| Drescher arrived in New Orleans in November of 2010 as a rookie free agent and has played in all 41 games since then, handling snaps on field goals and punts. Saints punter Thomas Morstead was selected to the Pro Bowl for the first time last season and said the reliability of Drescher's snaps was a significant factor.

The New Orleans Saints have signed rookie Justin Drescher as their third long snapper this season. The addition of Drescher means that the long snapper, holder and kicker on Saints field goals all went to the same high school in the Dallas area. Like Drescher, Saints kicker Garrett Hartley and backup quarterback Chase Daniel attended Southlake Carroll.||||||| Drescher replaces Jake Ingram, who was waived after playing only one game against the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday. Drescher played at Colorado in college and began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with Atlanta last spring. He was waived by the Falcons in June.
