The Oakland Raiders have signed recently released cornerback Joselio Hanson to bolster their secondary.|||||||
Oakland released 2011 third-round pick DeMarcus Van Dyke on Monday to make room for Hanson on the roster. Hanson had been released last week by Philadelphia after spending six seasons as the Eagles nickel cornerback.
The NFL suspended Hanson four games on Wednesday for violating the league's ban on performance enhancing substances.|||||||
He will be eligible to return for Philadelphia's Dec. 13 game against the New York Giants. Hanson has 29 tackles and one interception this season.
Hanson re-signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, agreeing to a one-year contract Tuesday.|||||||
The 26-year-old Hanson was the team's nickel cornerback last year, appearing in all 16 games and making four starts. He recorded a career-high 45 tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery.
