The Cincinnati Bengals have Fanene (Fuh-NAY'-nay) on injured reserve.||||||| Fanene hasn't played since suffering a hamstring injury Oct. 24 at Atlanta, and saw only limited action earlier because of hamstring problems. He played in every 2009 game for the Bengals.

Fanene re-signed with the Bengals on Tuesday, inking a three-year deal rather than becoming a restricted free agent.||||||| The fourth-year player appeared in 14 games and had six tackles and one sack.

Defensive end Jonathan Fanene was activated from the physically unable to perform list on Tuesday. Fanene, a seventh-round pick from Utah in 2005, has been sidelined by a hamstring injury suffered in the offseason.|||||||

Fanene was placed on the physically-unable-to-perform list by the Bengals on Sunday after he suffered a hamstring injury. The defensive end will be available to be activated for the Bengals' game against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 29.||||||| Fanene was expected to be a backup at defensive end for the Bengals after playing in three games -- one start -- in 2005, making two tackles.
