Vikings players of the game: Week 16

Posted Dec. 29, 2010 @ 2:16 a.m. ET
Let's take a look at the offensive, defensive and special-teams players of the game in the Vikings' 24-14 win over the Eagles in Philadelphia.

Posted Jan. 06, 2013
Webb, who hadn't thrown a pass all season, was sacked three times and off target all night in Saturday's loss to the Packers in which he was 11 of 30 for 180 yards with a TD and an interception.||||||| Webb, pressed into service because of Christian Ponder's triceps injury, recorded his only highlight on a 50-yard scoring pass to Michael Jenkins late in the fourth quarter.
Posted Jan. 05, 2013
Webb will start at quarterback for the Vikings with Christian Ponder inactive for Minnesota's wild-card playoff game against the Green Bay Packers.||||||| Ponder's participation in practice this week was limited and Webb took many of the turns with the first team offense. Ponder was listed as questionable on the injury report, though, and he took only about a dozen soft, short throws in early warm-ups.
Posted Dec. 12, 2011
After replacing Christian Ponder under center, Webb through for 84 and a score during Sunday's 34-28 loss at Detroit.||||||| Webb also rushed for a career-high 109 yards - including a 65-yard score. He remains a risky fantasy play but definitely has some value due to his speed.
Posted Dec. 11, 2011
Webb has come in at quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings after starter Christian Ponder lost a fumble and threw three interceptions.||||||| Webb entered the game in the third quarter Sunday and ran for a 65-yard touchdown to cut Detroit's lead to 31-21. Webb had attempted only two passes on the season before Sunday, playing behind Ponder and Donovan McNabb. He started two games last season as a rookie.
Posted Dec. 31, 2010
Webb has been fined $5,000 by the NFL for a "major" facemask penalty he committed during a run in Minnesota's last game against Philadelphia. League spokesman Randall Liu confirmed the punishment Friday.||||||| Webb was whistled near the end of the third quarter Tuesday night when he grabbed Eagles linebacker Jamar Chaney's facemask and pulled it down while reaching the first-down marker at the end of a third-and-7 scramble. The 15-yard penalty wiped out the gain, and the Vikings had to punt one play later. Webb could start Sunday's game at NFC North rival Detroit.
