The Washington Redskins have acquired receiver Jabar Gaffney from the Denver Broncos in exchange for defensive end Jeremy Jarmon.|||||||
The 23-year-old Jarmon had trouble finding a niche during his two seasons with the Redskins. He was a bad fit for the 3-4 defense installed by defensive coordinator Jim Haslett last season.
Jarmon has been placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL.|||||||
Jarmon had played in 11 games but only one as a starter, recording six tackles. He should be ready to go by training camp.
The Washington Redskins have signed Jarmon, who they chose in the third round of the NFL supplemental draft.|||||||
Jarmon, who finished third in Kentucky history with 17 1/2 sacks, was declared ineligible for his senior season by the NCAA because he tested positive for a banned substance.
