Richardson was a fifth-round pick of Oakland in 2007, and played three seasons with the Raiders. He signed with Seattle in 2010 after being waived by Oakland, and played in seven games with the Seahawks. Richardson, who has seven sacks in 55 games, didn't play in the NFL last season.
Richardson was released by the Raiders on Saturday.|||||||
Richardson started much of his first two years in the NFL before being relegated to a reserve role last season. He started 22 games in 2007 and '08, but had knee surgery in training camp and never was healthy enough to return to the practice field.
Richardson got his first career start on Sunday against Cleveland, replacing Derrick Burgess, who is out with a calf injury.|||||||
Richardson has played two games this season in limited roles, getting one tackle and deflecting one pass. He should be more involved in the defense against the Browns.
