The Philadelphia Eagles have placed center Jason Kelce on injured reserve, ending his season. Center Steve Vallos was signed to take his spot. Dallas Reynolds will be the starter.|||||||
Kelce was injured in Sunday's win over Baltimore and had surgery Tuesday to repair a torn medial collateral ligament in his right knee. Once that heals, he will have surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Kelce will miss at least four to six weeks because of a tore knee ligament, and it's possible he could face season-ending surgery.|||||||
Kelce injured his right knee in Philadelphia's 24-23 win over Baltimore on Sunday. An MRI on Monday revealed he tore his medial collateral ligament and has a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament. Eagles head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder said Kelce's MCL needs at least four to six weeks to heal. Kelce will undergo further testing on Tuesday to determine whether his ACL needs to be reconstructed. If so, he'll miss the rest of the season.
