The Browns signed Campbell to a two-year contract on Tuesday, bringing him to provide competition for fellow quarterback Brandon Weeden.||||||| A first round pick by the Redskins in 2005, Campbell has started 77 games and thrown 76 touchdown passes in eight seasons. Weeden's starting spot might not be completely assured after an up-and-down rookie season.

Campbell will undergo surgery on his broken collarbone and says he could be back before the end of the season.||||||| Campbell said he will have the operation on Monday and that if everything goes right he could be back in six weeks. Campbell got injured late in the first half of Oakland's 24-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday when he landed hard on his shoulder at the end of a scramble.

Campbell threw for a season-high 344 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions during Sunday's 31-19 loss to New England.||||||| While Campbell has topped 300 yards passing twice this season, he's averaged just 130.5 in his other two games. Until he starts posting huge numbers every week, Campbell will remain a lackluster fantasy option.

Campbell put up some nice numbers in a 38-35 loss at Buffalo on Sunday.||||||| Campbell went 23 of 33 for 323 yards and two touchdowns and one pick, adding a rushing TD to boot. He could find things difficult next week against the Jets and their star-studded defense.

Campbell left the Raiders' exhibition game against the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night with an injury in the second quarter.||||||| Campbell was hurt late in the second quarter on a scramble play. He was tackled by Justin Smith and appeared to take a forearm to the helmet from linebacker Ahmad Brooks. Campbell was down on the ground briefly while being checked out by trainers.
