The San Diego Chargers have re-signed left tackle Jared Gaither to a four-year contract and signed unrestricted free agent linebacker Jarret Johnson, formerly of the Baltimore Ravens, to a four-year deal.|||||||
Johnson was with Baltimore for nine seasons. He played in a Ravens franchise-record 129 consecutive regular-season games and has started 89 in a row, including playoffs. He had 56 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks last year.
The Baltimore Ravens re-signed linebacker Jarret Johnson to a three-year, $13 million deal Saturday. Johnson, 25, was drafted in the fourth round out of Alabama by Baltimore in 2003 and will join the NFL's top-ranked defense as its only new starter after All-Pro Adalius Thomas signed with New England.|||||||
The 6-foot-3, 270-pound Johnson has 144 tackles, three sacks and one interception in four seasons while lining up at defensive end, along with inside and outside linebacker.
