New England acquired Chiefs S Jarrad Page in a trade after placing S Brandon McGowan on injured reserve Saturday. They also traded for Eagles LB Tracy White, giving up a 2012 draft choice.

The Kansas City Chiefs traded Page to the New England Patriots on Saturday.||||||| Page, who made 39 starts until falling into disfavor with coach Todd Haley last year, was traded for an undisclosed draft selection. He sat out the entire offseason and preseason and signed a letter of tender on Friday.

Haley said he might have more to say about the situation on Wednesday. The Chiefs announced the roster move on their Web site Wednesday.

Page has signed his restricted free agent tender with the Kansas City Chiefs.||||||| Page joined the Chiefs as a seventh-round draft pick from UCLA in 2006 and soon became a starter. Last year, he was a steadying influence for Kansas City's very young secondary. In 48 games, Page has 185 tackles and 10 sacks, three forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.
