The Detroit Lions have signed wide receiver Jarett Dillard and released offensive tackle Quinn Barham, an undrafted rookie from Penn State, to make room on the roster for Dillard.|||||||
Dillard says the Lions were one of several teams that called after Jacksonville released him last month. He started five games last year for the Jaguars, making 29 receptions for 292 yards and a touchdown in his second NFL season.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed Dillard on injured reserve and promoted receiver John Matthews from the practice squad.|||||||
Dillard, a fifth-round draft pick in 2009, opened training camp on the physically unable to perform list because of a stress fracture in his left foot. He reinjured it this week and missed practice Thursday and Friday.
Dillard is on IR with a broken ankle.|||||||
