Meredith was awarded to the Giants off waivers from Detroit on Monday.||||||| Meredith played in eight games with four starts for the Buffalo Bills in 2009. He played the first two games of this season with the Bills before being waived and claimed by the Lions. Detroit waived the former South Carolina Gamecock on Friday.

Meredith, who's filling in for injured starter Jonathan Scott (ankle), was carted off after spraining his right knee in the first quarter of Sunday's 31-10 loss to visting Houston.||||||| Meredith will get some time to recover as the Bills have a bye next week.

The Bills have signed Meredith off Green Bay's practice squad to bolster their banged-up offensive line.||||||| Meredith was drafted in the fifth round by the Packers, but failed to make Green Bay's roster. Signed Tuesday, he'll fill the spot left open after Buffalo placed starting right tackle Brad Butler on injured reserve.
