Meredith enters his NFL season, but has played in only 17 games, starting four. He was with Pittsburgh last season.
Meredith was awarded to the Giants off waivers from Detroit on Monday.|||||||
Meredith played in eight games with four starts for the Buffalo Bills in 2009. He played the first two games of this season with the Bills before being waived and claimed by the Lions. Detroit waived the former South Carolina Gamecock on Friday.
Meredith, who's filling in for injured starter Jonathan Scott (ankle), was carted off after spraining his right knee in the first quarter of Sunday's 31-10 loss to visting Houston.|||||||
