Brown has undergone another surgery on his left hip, ruling him out for four to six more weeks. Coach Mike Shanahan said Monday that he will meet with Brown to determine the lineman's future.|||||||
Brown missed the 2009 season after hip surgery when he was with the New Orleans Saints. The Redskins traded for him, but he hasn't been able to regain the form that earned him Pro Bowl trips in 2006 and 2008.
The good news for the Washington Redskins is that Brown doesn't need surgery on his chronically ailing left hip. The bad news is that there's no timetable for him to return to action.|||||||
Brown, 31, missed four games last season with hip and groin injuries after being sidelined for all of 2009 with New Orleans following surgery on the left hip. The two-time Pro Bowl selection trained strenuously this offseason with yoga and Pilates only to re-injure the hip while running sprints on the eve of training camp's July 26 start.
Brown and tight end Mike Sellers have been ruled out by the Washington Redskins for Sunday's game against the New York Giants.|||||||
Brown hurt his right groin during pregame warmups before last week's loss to the New England Patriots. Tyler Polumbus again will start in Brown's place.

Brown, a restricted free agent, signed a tender offer before the trade. The 29-year-old was a first-round selection in the 2005 draft from Oklahoma. After starting 58 games for the Saints in five season, the two-time Pro Bowler missed all of the 2009 season with a hip injury and a sports hernia.
Brown, who missed all of last season with hip injury, remains a restricted free agent. The former 2005 first-round draft choice has been offered a $3.6 million tender from New Orleans for 2010.|||||||
His agent, Ben Dogra in St. Louis, did not say on Tuesday whether Brown would sign his tender, but restricted free agents have a Thursday deadline to sign offer sheets from other teams.
