The Arizona Cardinals have reached agreement on a one-year contract with Sanders.||||||| The 5-foot-10, 210-pound Sanders played for the New England Patriots for his first six NFL seasons before going to the Atlanta Falcons last year. He appeared in 15 games for the Falcons, six as a starter, with 48 tackles and one fumble recovery.

The Patriots released Sanders, who was tied for second on the team with three interceptions last season.||||||| He was due to make a base salary of $2.8 million in 2011. "Tough release there with James Sanders," coach Bill Belichick said in a conference call. "James has been a good guy to have on this team. A hardworking kid. ... He's been a really solid team player for us but we just, part of the move, needed to release people."
