Best is still not cleared to play after spending the first six weeks of the season on the physically unable to perform list.||||||| Detroit general manager Martin Mayhew says in a statement Monday that Best will not be permitted to return at this time, but the running back will continue to work with the team's medical and training staffs in the hope that he'll be cleared to play at some point. Best hasn't played since last October because of concussion problems.
