The Raiders have placed Ford on season-ending injured reserve.||||||| Ford has been sidelined since the preseason with a Lisfranc injury to his left foot. He had surgery earlier this week

Ford is undergoing tests to determine the severity of the injury to his left foot.||||||| Ford had an MRI on Saturday, a day after leaving Oakland's 31-24 preseason loss to the Arizona Cardinals in the first quarter. Ford missed six games last season for the Raiders with a sprained left foot although coach Dennis Allen says this one doesn't appear as serious. Allen says Ford will miss a little time and couldn't rule out the chance that Ford would miss the opener Sept. 10 against San Diego.

Ford made it through a third straight practice without any setbacks and expects to play in Oakland's regular-season finale against San Diego.||||||| That would be a big boost to the Raiders, who need to beat the Chargers on Sunday to keep their playoff hopes alive. Oakland can get in either as the AFC West champion or as a wild card, though it would need help from other teams for that to happen.

Ford caught five passes for 105 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to Denver.||||||| Ford's five catches were one short of his career high, and his 105 yards were unexpected, seeing as he hadn't compiled more than 47 in his previous 10 games.

Ford had four catches for 108 yards and one touchdown Sunday.||||||| It was the second time in three games he had 100 yards receiving. He continues to see more action as the Raiders have been impressed with his speed.
