The Vikings signed Green, who hasn't played since 2004, on Tuesday.||||||| Despite leading the NFL in rushing defense last season, Minnesota could use some depth at defensive tackle behind Kevin Williams and Pat Williams. Howard, a former sixth-round draft choice by Houston in 2002, will rejoin Vikings defensive line coach Karl Dunbar, who he played under in college at LSU. Green started 12 games for the New Orleans Saints in 2004, registering a career-high 53 tackles.
