Nicks had missed Wednesday's practice, but took limited work Thursday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest.||||||| Nicks, who went without a reception for the first time in his career last week, is dealing with a knee injury.
Posted Dec. 24, 2012
Nicks did not have a reception for the first time in his career in Sunday's 33-14 loss to the Ravens.||||||| Needless to say, that was not what fantasy owners were looking for. In fairness to Nicks, he has battled knee and foot problems all year and has not looked explosive. It may be fair to say he is a fantasy bust with three TDs and 692 yards but there are extenuating circumstances - not that it matters in the dog-eat-dog world of fantasy football.

The return of Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks to practice Thursday after missing the previous day with a sprained left knee could only bode well for his on-field rapport with quarterback Eli Manning.||||||| Nicks, whose 53 catches for 629 yards and three touchdowns is solid but not spectacular considering his first three years of work with the team, says he expects not only to be healthy enough to face the Ravens on Sunday, but to add some jump to his season. Nicks battled a toe injury at the beginning of the season, and then added the sprain in Week 2 against Tampa. He hasn't been the same game-breaking receiver since.

Nicks caught nine passes for 75 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bengals.||||||| After having his status for Sunday's game in doubt all of last week, he proved to be one of the few bright spots for the Giants.

Nicks saw the swelling in his left knee subside on Thursday.||||||| Nicks created a little controversy after practicing when he was asked about his statistics (27 catches for 390 yards) being down this year. "Stats is for girls. It's football, man," Nicks said.
