Needless to say, that was not what fantasy owners were looking for. In fairness to Nicks, he has battled knee and foot problems all year and has not looked explosive. It may be fair to say he is a fantasy bust with three TDs and 692 yards but there are extenuating circumstances - not that it matters in the dog-eat-dog world of fantasy football.

Nicks battled a toe injury at the beginning of the season, and then added the sprain in Week 2 against Tampa. He hasn't been the same game-breaking receiver since.
