Warren will miss the rest of the season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.||||||| Warren also had a torn ACL last season so he has definitely had bad luck in his career.

Warren tore a knee ligament against the Giants on Sunday, and has been placed on injured reserve.||||||| Steelers coach Mike Tomlin denied Tuesday the team didn't have an emergency snapper ready after Greg Warren tore a knee ligament, saying two linebackers - Harrison and James Farrior - practiced the specialist's role. Harrison's snap sailed over punter Mitch Berger's head for a game-tying safety in the fourth quarter. The Steelers have worked out four long snappers.

Warren, a restricted free agent, signed a $2.3 million, three-year contract with the Steelers that includes a $395,000 signing bonus.||||||| Warren, Pittsburgh's long snapper since winning the job as an undrafted rookie in 2005, was given a tender offer of $927,000 before he worked out the multiyear contract.

The Steelers have made a one-year offer to restricted free agent Warren, reportedly for just over $900,000. With the offer, the Steelers reserve the right to retain Warren by matching any offers from other teams during the free-agent signing period, which starts Friday.||||||| Warren has handled all the long-snapping duties for the Steelers since he was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2005. He has played in 48 regular-season games in his three seasons with Pittsburgh.
