Wilson suffered a torn left ACL and MCL in the Bengals' 22-9 win over Philadelphia on Aug. 20 and was placed on injured reserve.||||||| Wilson started 14 of 16 games last season with Miami, finishing with 71 tackles, seven pass break-ups and a sack. This is a blow to Cincinnati's already shaky secondary.

Wilson has signed a multiyear contract with the Miami Dolphins, who are on the verge of losing three defensive backs to free agency.||||||| Wilson, a five-year NFL veteran, signed Thursday after being released last week by the Oakland Raiders. He spent four seasons with the New York Giants and started at free safety for their 2007 Super Bowl championship team. The signing signals the likely departure of Yeremiah Bell or Renaldo Hill, the Dolphins' starting safeties. Barring last-minute deals, Bell and Hill were to become unrestricted free agents Friday, as was cornerback Andre Goodman.

The Raiders signed Wilson to a six-year, $39 million contract on Friday.||||||| Wilson's 284 solo tackles since entering the NFL in 2004 are the most of any safety during that span. The San Jose native had 70 tackles and a career-high four interceptions in 13 games for the New York Giants last season. He is expected to replace Stuart Schweigert and Hiram Eugene at free safety for Oakland in 2008.

Wilson, who missed the last two weeks with a strained knee, was listed as doubtful for Sunday night.||||||| He did some running Friday and said his knee felt better. "We will wait on Wilson,'' coach Tom Coughlin said Friday. "He did some running on the side and looked pretty good."
