The struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have to pull out of a midseason funk without defensive tackle Gerald McCoy.||||||| The second-year defensive tackle was placed on injured reserve Monday after tearing his right biceps during the opening quarter of a 27-16 loss to New Orleans that dropped the Bucs (4-4) into third place in the NFC South. McCoy had just returned to the lineup after sitting out the previous two games because on an ankle injury.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed McCoy on injured reserve.||||||| McCoy was the third pick in this year's draft out of Oklahoma. He suffered a torn left biceps during last Sunday's 17-16 victory at Washington, finishing his rookie season with 43 tackles and three sacks.

First-round draft pick Gerald McCoy has left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' game at the Washington Redskins with a biceps injury and will not return.||||||| The defensive tackle left the field and headed to the locker room during the first quarter Sunday. The Bucs say he is out for the rest of the game. McCoy was the No. 3 overall pick in April's NFL draft out of Oklahoma.
