Alexander has signed with the Miami Dolphins, who have placed receiver Roberto Wallace on injured reserve.||||||| Alexander, a fifth-year pro, has made 30 career starts while playing with the Panthers, Jaguars and Lions. He was with the Dolphins briefly before the season and was released Sept. 3.

Alexander says he has signed with the Miami Dolphins, where he could provide depth in the secondary and help on special teams. He joins a secondary that includes veteran Yeremiah Bell at strong safety, while Chris Clemons and Reshad Jones are battling for the starting job at free safety.||||||| Alexander announced the deal Sunday on Twitter. He split his time last season between Jacksonville and Carolina, playing in five games with three starts. He has made 30 starts in his four-year career.
