Carimi practiced Tuesday for the first time since a season-ending knee injury.|||||||
Carimi was a spectator as planned on Wednesday, but expects to be on the field Thursday and take part in all sessions next week. Carimi started two games at right tackles last season before he dislocated his knee against New Orleans in the second game. His rookie season came to an end after he had arthroscopic surgery in November and a procedure in December to repair connective tissue around his patella and medial collateral ligament.
Carimi is the second Chicago Bears offensive lineman placed on injured reserve in less than a week.|||||||
Carimi, the team's starting right tackle, has been out since the second game of the season with a dislocated right knee. Carimi returned briefly to practice, but suffered a setback and underwent an arthroscopic procedure Nov. 11.
Carimi was undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Friday morning. The team announced on its website that the first-round draft pick was having an arthroscopic procedure.|||||||
Carimi has missed six games since he injured his knee against New Orleans on Sept. 18. He practiced last Thursday but has sat out since then. Lance Louis has started the past three games at right tackle, and the line has shown dramatic improvement. The Bears are coming off a win at Philadelphia on Monday in which Jay Cutler did not get sacked.

Carimi left Sunday's game in the second quarter. The Bears said Monday that it was a sprain, but the Sun-Time source said he could miss four weeks. Not good news for Jay Cutler, who was sacked six times Sunday. Frank Omiyale took his spot on the line Sunday.

Trainers appeared to be testing Carimi's knee after Jay Cutler threw an incomplete pass in the final minute of the first half, and the lineman required assistance to get to the sideline. Bears officials did not provide immediate word on the condition of Carimi, a first-round draft choice out of Wisconsin who has started the first two games of his NFL career.
