The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed Pears.||||||| Pears, a 6-foot-8, 305-pounder from Colorado State, has started 30 games since entering the league as an undrafted rookie with Denver in 2005. After spending four seasons with the Broncos, Pears signed with Oakland in 2009. He spent the 2010 preseason with the Raiders before being waived in final cuts.

The team says it released offensive lineman Pears on Wednesday to make room for Alford.||||||| The move was made to make room for Jay Alford, who was signed. Pears missed most of the 2008 season while recovering from an appendectomy.

Pears will miss the entire 2008 season while recovering from an appendectomy.||||||| Pears started 10 of his 16 games as a rookie in 2006 and all 16 games last season. The 6-foot-8, 305-pound tackle should be ready for training camp next year.
