Wood was active despite a knee injury. He had been listed as questionable.
The Bills announced Friday that Wood would play at Minnesota, after originally targeting the third preseason game for his return from surgery on his right knee last November.|||||||
Buffalo Bills receiver David Nelson and center Eric Wood are among the regulars who have been ruled out by coach Chan Gailey from playing in the team's preseason opener against the Washington Redskins on Thursday.|||||||

Wood says no timetable has been set for him to have surgery. He is aiming to be back in time for the start of training camp next summer. Wood said Tuesday he has been off crutches for a few weeks, and has been cleared for light workouts as the Bills opened their voluntary spring workout program this week.
