The Texans did not disclose terms, though the Houston Chronicle reported it was a three-year deal worth $15 million, with $5 million guaranteed. The move is another blow to Baltimore, where Reed played his first 11 NFL seasons.

Reed appealed the ruling in phone session Tuesday morning with NFL hearing officer Ted Cottrell.
