The Chiefs have put Bowe on injured reserve with hurt ribs, ending his season and potentially his career in Kansas City.||||||| The Chiefs' leading receiver had already been ruled out of Sunday's game at Oakland. Bowe was playing this season on a $9.5 million deal as the team's franchise player, and it's possible the two sides could agree on a new deal or the Chiefs could franchise him again.

Bowe left Sunday's game against Cincinnati with a neck injury and left tackle Branden Albert left with a back injury, while Bengals cornerback Terence Newman was sidelined with a concussion.||||||| Bowe was being covered on a deep pass down the sideline when he leaped up, bobbled the ball and then landed hard on the turf at Arrowhead Stadium. He was checked by several trainers on the bench, retreated to the locker room and then re-emerged without his helmet.

Bowe caught four of his nine targets for 55 yards on Monday.||||||| Kansas City's quarterback play continues to hinder Bowe's fantasy value, as he's caught only 49 of 91 targets this season.

Bowe needs seven receptions to become fourth player in franchise annals to reach 400 for career.||||||| That might be a tall order Thursday considering he has caught three passes in each of the last two games.

Bowe caught seven passes for 108 yards and a TD in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Chargers.||||||| Bowe has 289 yards and three TDs in three starts this season.
