Jones punting at Pro Bowl level for Rams
Although his numbers are down a bit this season, daily team observers agree that Rams P Donnie Jones deserves a Pro Bowl berth more than anybody on the team.

The Dolphins have decided not to match the offer sheet Jones signed with the Rams last week, instead choosing to accept another draft pick as compensation.|||||||
Jones will take over the punting duties from Matt Turk, who is a free agent. Jones, however, doesn't seem to be an upgrade. His net average per punt last season with Miami was 35.7, while Turk's was 38.3.
The Dolphins elevated Jones from its practice squad on saturday and placed veteran punter Matt Turk on injured reserve. Jones, who played for Nick Saban at LSU, averaged 45.2 yards per punt this preseason. He played in six games with Seattle last year but was waived in late November after averaging just 38 yards per punt.|||||||
