Aromashodu will make a bid for a starting spot next season after totaling 22 receptions for 282 yards and four TDs over the final four games. He had two catches for 16 yards in the previous six games.
Aromashodu had seven catches for 150 yards and the game-winning 39-yard TD in overtime on Monday night in a thrilling 36-30 win over Minnesota.|||||||
There was a pleasant aroma near Lake Michigan for Bears fans Monday and it was Aromashodu, who had his best game as a pro. He raced past Vikings DB Antoine Winfield and caught the winning score to the delight of the fans at Soldier Field.
The Bears on Tuesday signed Aromashodu off the Washington Redskins' practice squad after placing nose tackle Dusty Dvoracek on injured reserve with a torn right biceps.|||||||
Aromashodu didn't play for the Redskins this season, but he did play six games for the Colts in 2007. He had seven catches for 96 yards, and started once.
