Lutui is part of an abysmal offensive line that has produced the second-worst rushing attack in the NFL - ahead of only NFC West rival Seattle. Now he seems to be a distraction to the starting quarterback. Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt said he didn't see Anderson and Lutui smiling, and didn't want to comment until he saw the tape.

Lutui had to sign the offer of about $1.8 million by Tuesday or the Cardinals would have reduced it to about $588,000 - 110 percent of his 2009 pay. Lutui has started every game for the past two seasons. He was hoping for a long-term contract but the Cardinals made it clear that was not going to happen.
