Ware's salary is going down to $1 million for this season, and a $5 million bonus is being spread over the rest of the contract, saving $4 million.

The problem isn't considered serious and Ware is expected to play in Saturday night's home playoff game against Philadelphia. Ware, who has 11 sacks, has played with a fracture in his wrist for much of the season. After straining his neck in a headfirst collision against San Diego, he didn't miss a game and the following week had two sacks, forcing fumbles on both.
