Levy, a third-round pick out of Wisconsin in 2009, had 79 tackles in 16 games as a rookie.
Levy will miss the final exhibition game Thursday and perhaps the season-opener with a pulled groin muscle.|||||||
Lions coach Jim Schwartz disclosed the injury Monday. Levy was injured in Saturday's preseason game against Cleveland, his first action since a back injury. Levy will now miss the final preseason game against Buffalo and is a question mark for the Sept. 12 regular-season opener in Chicago.
Levy took part in some drills after missing most of training camp with a sore back.|||||||
Levy's presence will be needed after the Lions lost backup Jordon Dizon for the season with a knee injury. Dizon injured his left knee during Saturday's exhibition loss at Pittsburgh, a game he started in place of Levy.
