Jaguars sign two DBs
The Jaguars signed DB Tyron Brackenridge and CB David Jones to contracts on Thursday. Length and terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Cincinnati acquired S Reggie Nelson from Jacksonville in exchange for CB David Jones and a conditional draft choice in a trade completed Saturday after both teams had gotten down to their 53-man roster limits.

Jones spent training camp with the Redskins, but was cut at the end of preseason. He previously played three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and two with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jones played in 16 games, with five starts, last season for Jacksonville. He spent the 2011 preseason with the club. He was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 3 and reached an injury settlement a week later. Jones, a fifth-round draft pick by New Orleans in 2007, has 74 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery in five seasons.

Jones was New England's fifth-round draft pick out of Division II Wingate in 2007. The Bengals claimed him off waivers that year. He was primarily an extra cornerback in three seasons with Cincinnati, starting seven games in 2008 after Johnathan Joseph got hurt. He has not intercepted a pass.
