Manning's three TDs lead Colts past Raiders
Peyton Manning threw three touchdown passes and iced the game with a 27-yard keeper to help the Colts beat the Raiders 31-26 Sunday in a game that turned out to have little playoff meaning.
Mathis, Winfield fined

The Colts have agreed to terms with Heyward-Bey.|||||||
In 2012, Heyward-Bey started 14 games and had 41 receptions for 606 yards and a career-high five touchdowns. Heyward-Bey has 140 receptions for 2,071 yards and 11 touchdowns since being selected by Oakland with the seventh overall pick in the 2009 draft. Over the past four seasons, he led the Raiders in receptions and yards receiving, while finishing second in touchdowns behind Denarius Moore (12).
The Indianapolis Colts next free agent target is Heyward-Bey. Indy, which has already signed eight players from other teams, has invited Heyward-Bey for a two-day visit that was supposed to begin Monday. The information was first posted on the team's website.|||||||
Oakland took Heyward-Bey with the seventh overall pick in the draft in 2009 but never lived up to the hype. In four seasons, he has 140 career receptions for 2,071 yards and 11 touchdown catches. He was released by the Raiders earlier this month.
The Oakland Raiders have cut ties with two former first-round picks by releasing Heyward-Bey and defensive back Michael Huff. The moves to get rid of Heyward-Bey and Huff leave just three of Oakland's former first-round picks on the roster with linebacker Rolando McClain also expected to be released this offseason.|||||||
While Heyward-Bey has been mostly a disappointment in his career, the move to get rid of Huff comes as some surprise since he was the team's most consistent defensive back last season playing both cornerback and safety.
Heyward-Bey rushed once for 20 yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to Atlanta.|||||||
Heyward-Bey was knocked unconscious on Sept. 23 by a helmet-to-helmet hit in the end zone from Pittsburgh safety Ryan Mundy. Heyward-Bey appeared to be knocked out by the hit and then crashed to the turf headfirst and his neck twisted awkwardly. He was taken to the hospital for a concussion and sprained neck.
Heyward-Bey still has no recollection of the devastating hit by Pittsburgh safety Ryan Mundy last week that left him with a concussion and neck strain.|||||||
Speaking to reporters for the first time since being carted off the field and hospitalized overnight following the play, Heyward-Bey said he's seen television replays of the hit but otherwise has no memory of it. Heyward-Bey attended practice Friday as an observer but is doubtful to play in Sunday's game against AFC West rival Denver.
