McKenzie spoke to beat reporters Thursday for the first time since Nov. 30 and looked back at a disappointing first season in Oakland and ahead to the future. McFadden struggled under the zone blocking system of the previous coordinator, Greg Knapp, who was fired after the season. McFadden averaged a career-low 3.3 yards per carry after toping 5 yards per carry the previous two seasons in Hue Jackson's power-running system.
McFadden gained 110 yards on a career high-tying 30 carries in Sunday's 15-0 win over Kansas City.|||||||
It was the third 100-yard game this season for the Oakland Raiders running back, who has gained 617 in 10 contests. He's gained less than 55 in six contests this season and less than 35 in four games. McFadden has 293 yards over the past four games and gained 114 in Kansas City on Oct. 28.
