Koppen, who spent nine season snapping the ball to Tom Brady in New England, will now have the chance to work with Peyton Manning.||||||| Koppen signed with the Denver Broncos on Tuesday, two weeks after his release from the New England Patriots, where he played from 2003-11. Koppen adds experienced depth to the interior line and might push starting center J.D. Walton for playing time.

The Patriots have re-signed Koppen.||||||| The 32-year-old Koppen is a veteran of nine seasons with the Patriots, but missed all but the opening game of 2011 with a left knee injury. He has started 120 of 121 regular-season games and 14 postseason games and has been a steady blocker for Tom Brady since joining the team in 2003.

Koppen has been placed on injured reserve by the New England Patriots, officially ending his 2005 campaign. The offensive lineman, who has been starting at center for the Pats since the second game of his rookie season in 2003, was unable to return to the lineup after suffering a shoulder injury in Sunday's win over the Miami Dolphins.||||||| Russ Hochstein likely will fill the void in the starting lineup going forward, while veteran Gene Mruczkowski was signed to replace Koppen on the 53-man roster.
