Colts coach Jim Caldwell has picked quarterback Curtis Painter to start Sunday's game against Carolina.||||||| Painter replaced the injured Kerry Collins against Pittsburgh in September and has started every game since then. But after posting quarterback ratings of 51 or less in each of his past four games, fans were clamoring for another change. At 0-11, the Colts are the only winless team in the NFL. Dan Orlovsky is the only other healthy quarterback on Indy's roster, and coming off a bye week, many fans thought it was a logical time to make a change.

Painter was 9 of 17 for 67 yards and an interception in the Colts' 62-7 loss to the Saints on Sunday.||||||| He also fumbled a snap to finish with a 38.1 passer rating. The Colts fell to 0-7 this season.

Painter completed 23 of 34 passes for 188 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Bengals.||||||| Painter's interception was his first of the season. Next Sunday, Painter and the Colts face a New Orleans team that is tied for the fourth-fewest interceptions with three.
