Butler was signed off the Cardinals' practice squad after splitting time this season on the active rosters of Arizona and Washington. He's appeared in eight NFL games, and was selected in the fifth round of the 2010 draft by Pittsburgh.

The move gives the Cardinals another option on their struggling offensive line, which has given up 22 sacks in the past three games.The Cardinals had released McQuistan Sept. 25 after he was inactive the first three games of the season.
