He won the starting job over Terrance Knighton last season. He started 12 games in 2012 and had a career-best 80 tackles. He also had 2 1/2 sacks and three fumble recoveries. Mosley has eight years in the league, spending time with Minnesota, the New York Jets, Cleveland and Jacksonville.

Mosley got hurt in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to San Diego. The team placed Mosley on injured reserve, the fifth Cleveland defensive player to go on IR. Mosley, who played for Mangini with the New York Jets, was expected to get more playing time with Kenyon Coleman nursing a knee injury and nose tackle Shaun Rogers out with a season-ending injury. Mosley started for Coleman against the Chargers.
