The Cleveland Browns have agreed to terms with running back Chris Ogbonnaya on a two-year contract. Ogbonnaya was signed by the Browns in 2011 and started four games. Cleveland has three running backs under contract: Richardson, Ogbonnaya and Montario Hardesty.|||||||
Ogbonnaya made one start and played in 15 games last season, usually replacing Trent Richardson on third down. He finished with 24 receptions for 187 yards and gained 30 yards on eight carries. He made a career-high six receptions for 73 receiving yards in a win at Cincinnati, and had a career-long 54-yard reception against the New York Giants.
With starter Trent Richardson nursing a rib cartilage injury, Ogbonnaya could see some action against the Colts Sunday.|||||||
Richardson is expected to start, but may be limited after getting banged up in last week's win over the Bengals. Montario Hardesty could also get more carries if Richardson can't carry the load.
Ogbonnaya ran for a career-high 115 yards and a TD during Sunday's 14-10 win over Jacksonville.|||||||
While Ogbonnaya is averaging 102.5 yards over the last two weeks, he could lose his job if Montario Hardesty returns from injury. Fantasy owners need to keep an eye on this situation heading into Week 12.
