McKinnie has restructured his contract to remain with the team.||||||| During intense negotiations Tuesday, McKinnie walked away from the table and posted on Twitter that his time with the Ravens was over. But the sides reconvened later, and the 6-foot-8, 360-pound left tackle begrudgingly reworked his contract rather than start to look for another job. He was supposed to receive a $3.2 million base salary in 2012.

McKinnie has signed a two-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens after passing his physical. McKinnie agreed to terms Tuesday, took his physical Wednesday and promptly signed with his new team following a nine-year run with the Minnesota Vikings.||||||| The Vikings waived McKinnie last month after he reported to camp overweight. McKinnie played left tackle with the Vikings and will probably hold that same position with Baltimore. If that happens, Michael Oher will move from the left side to the right side.

Minnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield says the coaches "really had no choice" but to release former Pro Bowl left tackle Bryant McKinnie because he was out of shape.||||||| The Vikings made the surprising move on Tuesday afternoon, and several prominent players spoke up in support of head coach Leslie Frazier after practice on Wednesday. McKinnie reported to training camp on Sunday out of shape and overweight and did not participate in the first two practices before being cut. Now the Vikings plan to start Charlie Johnson at left tackle. Johnson just signed on Monday and says he has a lot of catching up to do.

The Minnesota Vikings have released McKinnie.||||||| McKinnie spent the first nine seasons of his career in Minnesota, immediately stepping in as the starter after ending a holdout in his rookie season that caused him to miss the first eight games. McKinnie was voted to one Pro Bowl, but never did materialize into the dominant force the team hoped for when they drafted him in 2002.

McKinnie must pay back the NFL for his non-participation in the Pro Bowl.||||||| The NFL said Friday it will require a $4,285 reimbursement from McKinnie for expenses incurred that week in Miami. McKinnie skipped most of the team practices and obligations, and was then dismissed from the NFC all-star squad. NFL spokesman Randall Liu also said McKinnie has forfeited his $22,500 game check.
