The Broncos have signed Osweiler, a second-round pick from Arizona State who they believe can eventually become Peyton Manning's heir apparent.|||||||
Right now, he's fourth on the depth chart behind backups Caleb Hanie and Adam Weber but hopes to earn the No. 3 or even No. 2 job in training camp, which starts with meetings Wednesday and practices Thursday. Osweiler completed 63 percent of his passes for 4,036 yards and 26 touchdowns with 13 interceptions as a junior at ASU last season, his first as the Sun Devils' starter.
